Actor Mark Shepard collapsed in his kitchen on Friday and suffered a cardiac emergency, he said in a post on Instagram on Saturday.
The “Supernatural” actor, who played Crowley in dozens of episodes, said his chances of survival were “almost zero.”
“After 6 massive heart attacks, and being brought back from the dead 4 times apparently I had 100% blockage in my LAD,” Shepard captioned a photo of herself in a hospital bed.
Shepard thanked his wife, the Los Angeles Fire Department and the staff at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center. The Los Angeles Fire Department commented that they were glad to hear that Shepard was doing better.
Shepard replied to the fire department, “They went too far.” “Brought me back three times and got me safely to St. Joseph’s. Beat 100 percent obstruction in Widowmaker.”
According to the Cleveland Clinic, a widowmaker heart attack occurs when there is a blockage in the heart’s largest artery, also known as a occlusion. The blockage prevents blood from passing through your left anterior descending (LAD) artery.
According to the Cleveland Clinic, “immediate treatment is critical to the chances of survival.”
Actress Misha Collins — who played Castiel on “Supernatural” — wished Shepard a speedy recovery.
Collins wrote, “Mark! You don’t have to do the biggest and biggest every time! 6 heart attacks? 2 or 3 would have been impressive enough.” “You’ve impressed us, okay. Now stop fixing it and get back on the road with us. Love you, buddy.”
A few weeks ago, Shepard wrote on Instagram that she had lost nearly 40 pounds.
“Never felt better,” he wrote in “New Era.”
