Godzilla and King Kong are back – and they’re fighting like crazy.
The first trailer for Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire, the sequel to 2021’s Godzilla vs. Kong, was released on Sunday.
According to the synopsis, The New Empire, “builds on the explosive premise of Godzilla vs. Kong with a new cinematic adventure that pits the almighty Kong and the fearsome Godzilla against a vast unseen threat lurking within our world, the Challenges their existence – and our own.”
The film “will delve deeper into the history of these Titans, their origins and the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond, as well as the legendary battle that helped create these extraordinary creatures and forever bind them to mankind.” Gave.”
The trailer begins with the ground rumbling and a seismometer being shaken violently, with a voice saying, “For most of human civilization, we believed that life could only exist on the surface of our planet. What else could we I was wrong?”
A large hand wearing yellow armor emerges from the ground, and the audience is treated to a glimpse of King Kong approaching a small monkey.
As an ominous sound is heard and the music becomes louder, text appears on the screen that reads, “Witness the rise of a new empire.”
A voice says, “Kong can’t stop it on his own,” before Godzilla is shown emerging from the water with glowing pink spikes. The trailer ends with a tease of an epic battle between Godzilla and Kong.
The new film brings back Rebecca Hall’s lead character Ilene Andrews, a scientist first seen in Godzilla vs. Kong.
The latest clash between the titans also features Dan Stevens, Brian Tyree Henry and Kayleigh Hottle.
Godzilla vs. Kong director Adam Wingard returns to direct The New Empire from a script written by Terry Rossio, Simon Barrett, and Jeremy Slater.
